Demireller Madencilik Inc., one of our group companies, operates in the regions where Turkey's most important bauxite mines are located such as Mersin, Milas and Eskişehir. These mines have rich ore reserves which are critical for many industrial applications. Raw materials for local and international cement, abrasive and especially alumina-aluminum industries are produced in these mines. Demireller Mining Inc.'s bauxites which are monohydratic diaspore type, are processed with modern technologies. These bauxites resolves in high temperatures during Bayer process(during alumina production processes).Bauxite qualities are generally as in the link.
Demireller Mining group companies are in iron ore production more than 10 years. Iron ores are extracted from the mines in Keban/Elazığ, owned by Demar Madencilik; and in Gövdeli/Malatya, owned by Demad Madencilik, which both are group companies. Raw ores are processed in the beneficiation plants which belong to the companies. Both magnetite concentrate and raw hematite are produced in Keban. In Gövdeli, only magnetite concentrate is produced. Magnetite production in the Ekinözü/Kahramanmaraş mines will start in the late 2024. All three mines are important ore resources of the country. Magnesite is a versatile mineral widely used in refractory, chemical, agricultural, and steel industries. The magnesite mine in Mut/Mersin, which belongs to the group companies is one of Turkey’s biggest magnesite resource. Fine products from this mine which are processed by high standard latest technologies on-site, are ideal raw materials for related industrial applications. Sales are made both domestically and internationally to the calcined magnesite (CCM) and sinter magnesite (DBM) users. Magnesite qualities are generally as in the link.
