In the late 50's, commercial activities have been started with a small gas station in
Eregli/Konya. In
the late 90's, these activities have been diversified with mining. With "Demireller Mining Inc." which
is one of group companies, founded in 2002, it became a valuable structure which contrubite a
lot to the local and country economies.
Demireller Mining Inc. which is the biggest mining company in the group involves in bauxite
mining.
The earliest operations in bauxite mining started in 2002 in 10 mines which are located in
Ayrancı/Karaman and Mersin to produce and sell high quality prodcuts. Shortly, company became the
leader producer in Turkiye with visionary approaches. Then, Demireller Mining Inc. has operated
bauxite mines in other regions of Turkey (Milas/Muğla, Mihalıççık/Eskişehir,
Nurhak/Kahramanmaraş).
Company also involved in bauxite production in Montenegro as a contractor between 2018-2020.
Bauxite
operations in Eskişehir is conducted under one another group company MIHAL Mining Inc.
All production facilities in the mines are designed to meet full customers' satisfaction with
extensive quality control systems. All of the group companies always strive for 100% perfection
by
using 25 year experience in mining, trained workforce, R&D laboratories, storage, and
logistics
facilities in the production processes.
Since 2010, iron ore (magnetite) production has been carried out under another group
company
(DEMAD
AŞ). The magnetite iron ore is extracted from the mines located Elbistan/Kahramanmaraş and
Gövdeli/Malatya. Ores are processed for concentrate and fine productions at the company’s processing
plants. Then they are sold domestically and internationally.
Mining activities have been further expanded with the production of magnesite ore since
2012.
High-quality magnesite is produced in the mine located in Mersin/Mut. Products are used for the
needs
of domestic and international sinter-magnesite (DBM) and calcined magnesite (CCM)
factories.
In 2018, a partnership has been formed with STM MADENCİLİK Ltd. to increase iron ore
(magnetite)
production. Shortly, this partnership has been solidified with founding DEMAR Madencilik AŞ for
the
mine located in Keban/Elazığ. Currently, all products from this mine are exported.
Mining activities are carried out with an awareness of environmental and social sustainability.
In
this context, continuous improvement efforts are made to protect natural resources and minimize
environmental impacts. It is approached sensitively for the needs of local communities in the mine
regions and supported with social projects. Our group companies follow a sustainable growth strategy
which is not only economical but also environmental and social with this approach.
Demireller Mining Inc. was established and started bauxite production in Mersin and Karaman.
Began bauxite trade in Milas/Muğla.
Operations started at the magnetite iron ore beneficiation plant in Elbistan/Kahramanmaraş under Demad AŞ.
Began bauxite production in addition to trade in Milas/Muğla.
First bauxite ore export from Turkey to China was carried out by our company.
Began magnetite iron ore production in Gövdeli/Malatya under Demad AŞ., and iron ore production in Elazığ/Keban under Demar AŞ.
Conducted bauxite production activities as a contractor in Montenegro.
Production activities in the Mihalıççık/Eskişehir bauxite field began under MİHAL AŞ.
Bauxite exports previously made with smaller ships began to be made with Capesize vessels.
